Next month, Leonard will return to his hometown of Los Angeles for a world-premiere recording and performance inspired by the paintings, illustrations, and movie posters created by Bob Peak, one of the most sought-after illustrators of the twentieth century. The recording will take place on the historic Newman Scoring Stage, the same room where Leonard’s father, Felix Slatkin, worked as concertmaster of the Twentieth Century Fox Studio Orchestra. A live performance at Disney Hall will follow on June 14 at 8 p.m. PT.
