The Orchestre National de Lyon is embarking on a tour of Germany and the Netherlands May 3-14 under the direction of Leonard Slatkin, with guest soloists Hilary Hahn performing the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and Cameron Carpenter playing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini on his International Touring Organ. The programs also include such works as Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique; Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé, Suite No. 1; and Franck’s Le Chasseur maudit. The orchestra will perform in Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Regensburg, Friedrichshafen, Munich, Cologne, and Baden Baden in Germany (May 3-12) before traveling to the Netherlands for concerts in Eindhoven and Utrecht (May 14-15). They will also play a special concert at the Philharmonie de Paris on May 9.
