This weekend, American Musical Journey, Slatkin’s radio program about the evolution of music in the United States, moves into a new time slot on Classic 107.3 FM—Sundays at 12 p.m. Central. In this series, Slatkin traces the chronology of American music from the Revolutionary War to present day, exploring the paths that led to such individual voices as Aaron Copland (the subject of Episode 17, airing January 23) and Samuel Barber (the focus of Episode 18, airing January 30).

Upcoming all-new episodes of The Slatkin Shuffle, airing Saturdays at 10 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Central, feature selections from the years 1964 (episode airing January 22-23) and 1968 (episode airing January 29-30).
