Leonard Slatkin shares his perspective on how string players should best approach a blind orchestral audition in a series of articles for The Strad titled “Flying Blind,” part one and part two.  Earlier this season, he published “All Strings Attached” in which he outlines his approach to working with symphonic string sections, describing them as “the heart and soul of the ensemble.”
