Leonard Slatkin is in Dublin preparing two programs with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. Tonight at 7:30 PM GMT/2:30 PM EST they will perform four masterpieces: Wagner’s Flying Dutchman Overture, Elgar’s Sea Pictures with mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnston, Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, and Debussy’s La Mer.

Next week’s concert, on March 10 at 7:30 PM GMT/2:30 PM EST, features soloist Olga Kern performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. The program also includes Joan Tower’s Made in America, Cindy McTee’s Adagio for Strings, and Bernstein’s On the Waterfront Suite.

The concerts will be broadcast live and available for online listening at RTÉ Lyric Live FM.
